Winter Reflections

8th grade

Students and I are hard at work learning Chemistry (8th), learning about the Periodic Table of Elements, bonding in atoms, and chemical reactions.  There was a one week break where students learned about healthy relationships and sex education lessons.  Now that was interesting.

7th Grade

Human Biology and Health (7th).  7th grade students are learning about the systems of the human body as well as healthy relationships and sex education lessons.  Even more, interesting.
Final biology assessment, students are creating wanted posters about human body system or creating analogies connecting body systems to systems in the outside world.  Can you complete the sentence?  The digestive system is like___________ the ___________ because it ________________  like the digestive system.
I can't wait to see what they come up with.  Stay tuned!
