Introduction

This is the year, I will share what I am reading related to my teaching practice.  What better way to start than with starting with what I have read over the summer.
I've taken an interest in reading the DC Comic series Rebirth.  So far I've read the WonderWoman and Justice League.  I must admit I do enjoy it.  Yeah I know its not quite science related, but it was fun leisurely reading for me after reading Know It All: 132 Head-Scratching Questions About the Science All Around Us by New Scientists, Mick O'Hara.  It is full of questions I have ofter asked and wondered about.  I finally found the answer to Why does a boomerang return?  As I read the answer I then asked why when I use it, it never returns to me?  Whats so great about this book is the multiple responses provided.  Its not just one answer and then the next question, more than one or two scientists give answers that helps you get greater insight into so many wonders.  If you've read the book what did you like or what questions do you have about the world you live?

Middle school science teacher in Chicago.  Teach 7-8 Grade Science on the north side of the city.  I love to read about the application of science and the lives of scientists to help my students and I have a better understanding of its application, use, and the stories behind the it.
